Amalia Romero Peñalver
Sociologist specialized in International Migration, Public Health and Data Analysis. Her professional career combines applied research and fieldwork with an approach oriented to social change, equality and human rights. She has collaborated with public institutions, social organisations and international organisations developing and collaborating in diagnostics, data analysis and project evaluations. She is especially interested in contributing to processes of social transformation both with accompaniment processes that apply the theory of change and through the rigorous and accessible analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, always with participatory and intersectional approaches. Currently, she is collaborating as a researcher and a consultant on projects focused on social justice, public policy, and migrant rights.
Sheila López Moreira
Medical doctor and specialist in Preventive Medicine and Public Health, with a Master's degree in Public Health and Healthcare Management. Her work bridges epidemiological research and the analysis of health inequalities, with a focus on social determinants of health, surveillance systems, vaccination and equity. She has collaborated in official public health research projects like the VI Andalusian Health Survey, contributing to data quality assessment, data interpretation and the adaptation of health policies. Her expertise also includes academic teaching, outbreak detection and the production of analytical reports to support decision-making. She is particularly interested in exploring the root causes of health and disease from a community-based and health promotion perspective, integrating gender and intersectional approaches into public health research. She also enjoys listening to music with the company of her cats while reading or dreaming up creative projects.
Bianca Goncalves Tasca
Brazilian psychologist and administrator with a residency in Collective Health and a double master’s in Public Health and Epidemiology. Her career is driven by a strong belief in universal health care and a commitment to reducing social and health inequalities. She has worked with health information systems and as a public health researcher, conducting qualitative and quantitative studies, managing large datasets, developing protocols and grant proposals, and evaluating interventions impact. Her main interests include the social determinants of health, poverty alleviation, and social epidemiology. In her free time, she enjoys reading a good novel under the sun.
